We import the finest in decorative and functional furniture we can find, made by craftsmen from places like India, Morocco, Thailand and Tibet. Our furniture can be made of exotic hard or soft woods, inlaid with shells and semi-precious stones, or simply smoothed and varnished for a pretty sheen. These are beautiful pieces of art but are also fully useable and will look great in your home!

(Note: some of the furniture displayed below, and some of the furniture that we carry, may not be in-store. We do keep furniture in our warehouse as well, so be sure to ask a sales associate about our warehouse and what is in stock.)

These wooden vanities and tables come with mirrors either inlaid or mounted on them. They are ornamentally carved and might be just what you are looking for to enhance a bedroom or living area.	Shelving units and cabinetry are two of our specialties! Above is a sectioned cabinet with double doors (left) and a lovely wicker baker's shelf (right). For storage, in the kitchen, or just for looks, these are finely-made pieces for your home.

We are fascinated by pieces like the exotic, eccentric ones shown here. We often acquire pieces like the burlwood vertical chest (above left) and these dark, triangular chests of drawers (above right).		This beautiful, carved chest has come to us from India, where Tina often travels to discover new items for our store. It depicts the Taj Mahal and is carved on all sides. Mermaid Imports carries many carved pieces that have been given to us by master craftsmen the world over.
