Musical Instruments & Handicrafts

The local music is always an integral part of any culture; here at Mermaid Imports we strive to spread knowledge and good cheer through our love of the musical instruments we have. We also have many samples of the music of other cultures represented in our CD collection. There is an eclectic collection of other handicrafts represented in our store as well. Some of these are featured in the pictures below, sharing space with our traditional and fun-to-play musical instruments. Just in case you do not already know how to play one of these exotic instruments, we would be happy to provide you with a music book or advice.

Australian Dijeris.

The didgeridoo is a traditional instrument used by the Aboriginal peoples of Australia. It produces a deep, rolling sound and is generally carved of wood, then painted with traditional designs. We carry many didgeridoos of different sizes. These will exercise your lungs for sure!
